The UH-60 Black Hawk is an American twin-engine, four-bladed, medium-heavy multi-purpose helicopter manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft. He joined the US Army in 1979, when he replaced the tactical transport helicopter Bell UH-1 Iroquois. Subsequently, variants of the Black Hawk helicopter were produced for electronic warfare or for special operations. Improved variants of the UH-60L and UH-60M have also been developed.
