The Traxxas TRX-4M Land Rover Defender brings true outdoor trail performance to the 1/18 micro crawler category, bridging the gap between indoor models and 1/10 scale rigs. Built on a heavy-duty steel ladder frame with oil-filled shocks and a highly precise steering system, it offers true off-road capability in a convenient package. The model comes fully assembled and Ready-To-Drive® with an included battery and charger.

Highly Detailed Licensed ABS Hard Body

The officially licensed Land Rover Defender body is molded from durable ABS plastic with a high-gloss finish where the colour won't chip or flake. It comes equipped with scale details including tough fender flares, rock sliders, side mirrors, door handles, and wipers. Thanks to the innovative clipless body mounting system and heavy-duty latching clips, the body holds tightly on the trail but releases in just seconds without any body clips to lose. Functional LED bumper lights are factory-installed to light up the trail.

Rigid Steel Ladder Frame and Drivetrain

Unlike typical plastic micro chassis, the TRX-4M is engineered with a deep C-channel steel ladder frame with a thicker center section for maximum rigidity. The rails run continuously from bumper to bumper to withstand extreme crawling dynamics. It features a full-time shaft-driven 4-wheel drive system, heavy-duty CV center driveshafts, and solid steel axles equipped with spool gears for locked differential traction. The battery tray is positioned low to concentrate weight lower and drastically improve crawling stability.

Oil-Filled GTM™ Shocks and Exceptional Steering

The TRX-4M features oil-filled GTM shocks specially developed for this platform to provide smooth, controlled damping. This prevents the bouncy ride common in friction-shock micro crawlers, keeping body movements highly realistic. The shocks feature adjustable pre-load spacers and are easily refreshed with available rebuild kits. Steering is handled by the sill-mounted, heavy-duty 2065T steering servo featuring a metal main gear. Coupled with direct steering (no servo saver), it delivers a superior 45° steering angle for tight maneuvers on technical trails.

ECM-2.5™ Electronic Control Module & 3 Drive Profiles

The core of the vehicle is the waterproof ECM-2.5™ Electronic Control Module, which incorporates the ESC, receiver, and Pro Scale® LED controller into a single compact housing. It features built-in Traxxas EZ-Set® one-button setup, motor overload protection, and two-stage low voltage protection (LVD) for the LiPo pack. Power is delivered by the Titan® 180 87-turn brushed motor with fixed gear mesh that requires no manual adjustment. Drivers can cycle through 3 distinct drive profiles:

• Sport Mode – 100% forward / 100% brakes / 100% reverse
• Trail Mode – 100% forward / 100% brakes / 100% reverse, with trail-tuned drag brake in neutral for smooth descents
• Crawl Mode – 100% forward / instant reverse (no neutral) with 100% hill-holding brake for maximum control on rocks
